Brief introduction
As an effort to drive the development of characteristic finance for the Macao SAR Government, the Talents Development Committee and the Macau Institute of Financial Services have signed an agreement in 2018 to organize a series of training activities in forms of seminars, workshops and short-term courses since 2019, covering subjects such as financial leasing, Center for RMB clearing in Portuguese-speaking countries, Wealth management, FinTech and green finance etc. The training activities are mainly designed for the current professionals working in this field and students majoring in this area. It is expected that through the cultivation of talents, the growth of emerging industries will speed up ,and innovation will lead to a moderately diversified economy.
There were 3 seminars held in 2019, naming “FinTechstic: the innovation and opportunities of FinTech”,”Financial leasing: origin, law and business activities”,”The opportunities and challenges of Characteristic Finance in Macao”.
"Professional Certificate Examination Reward Scheme"
Brief introduction
For meeting the demands of the government and development of the industry, In 2022, two sub-programs regarding incentives to obtain professional certification in the financial and information technology fields will be added to the ‘Incentive Scheme for Personnel Training and Certification’ to encourage employees in these fields to expand their career skills and professional growth through taking professional certification examinations.
